The Open Lab Skåne project has been extended for another three years. The project means that small businesses have access to well-equipped laboratories, and thus to advanced equipment and specialized expertise. The purpose of the project is to promote the development of new products and services.
Open Lab Skåne will now be able to continue to promote development projects by opening up laboratories and providing equipment and expertise in life science, materials science, food and chemistry.
This is a collaboration between Malmö University, Lund University and SmiLe Incubator. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Region Skåne. The project is also supported by Medeon Science Park & Incubator and Medicon Village.
"We look forward to welcoming many new companies over the next three years," says Magdalena Almén, project manager for Open Lab Skåne from 2020.
- We are pleased to continue to be able to offer this opportunity to small companies. The instruments, other equipment and expert help can otherwise be difficult to obtain for a small company. Therefore, this can be a great advantage for the companies, says Per Brunmark, project manager at SmiLe Incubator.
