Birka BioStorage, the Scandinavian biorepository and biobank have been planning for the re-location of its business, to the northern part of the city of Lund, Sweden, as part of the future Science Village.
Since the previous week, the company has been facing the fact that Facility Manger´s work residence prolongation, Mr. Hussein Ismail, has been refused by the Swedish Migration office. The legal process to appeal the decision has been initiated and will follow the rules of the authorities.
Ali Ismail (CEO): “We assure our business is doubtless stable, and our team is growing, to match the expected increase of market growth. We continue to plan for the expansion project during 2018 according to the original plan. Meanwhile, Mr. Hussein continues his duties at the company as usual and during the process of appeal”.
The company´s Board of Directors want to proudly assure that the business continuity will be guaranteed and the team of Birka BioStorage will make sure all Clients to be served to the best quality of service.
The new facilities of initial 1300 m2 will be ready to receive the first samples during Q4 -2018. The dedicated space for sample logistics will be able to serve large scale projects with a special track for clinical trial sample management.
