Snoring or sleep apnoea?

Children with slack, unbalanced musculature in the face and oral cavity may often have indistinct speech and eating-, chewing- and swallowing difficulties. Other common symptoms are:

  • Open mouth -  difficulties in closing the mouth properly.
  • Vomiting due to a dominant gag reflex, or delayed maturity of the digestive system.
  • Eating or chewing difficulties – long, drawn-out mealtimes.
  • Acidic reflux or heartburn.
  • Delayed or non-existent verbal ability.
  • Abnormal tooth-, bite- or jaw development.

Swallowing difficulties – a cause of undernourishment amongst the elderly

Reduced eating and swallowing ability increases the risk of pneumonia, undernourishment and a reduced quality of life. Common symptoms of dysphagia are:

  • Long, drawn-out mealtimes.
  • Food left on the plate – poor appetite.
  • Food stuck in the throat more often than normal, and ‘goes down the wrong way’.
  • Constantly coughing and clearing the throat.
  • Acidic reflux, heartburn.
  • Food or saliva dribbles on to the chin and clothes.
  • Difficulty in swallowing tablets.
  • Pneumonia.

What is IQoro® - how can it treat so many different problems?

IQoro® is a neuromuscular training device and regime that addresses the following conditions in 1.5 mins per day:

  • Dysphagia, eating and swallowing difficulties.
